Plushie (She/Her) is a Bi Latina New Yorker that creates spooky and cute art in vibrant candy colors. Along with their pop of color, some of her work contains a painted black light surprise! With inspiration from pop culture, horror and anime, she adds a personal twist to narrate a story or capture a moment in time. Through the magic of art, she learned how scars from the past can impact the way we connect to others, the importance of community and having creative safe spaces to heal. Her work revolves around positive messaging, shared experiences, and education. As well as highlights how the exterior doesn’t always match the interior through whimsical spooky characters (much like her plushie mascot). What’s scary and spooky on the surface might in fact be relatable or fun after all. She aspires to be one of the many bridges for the individual and the collective to connect through art and believes that open hearts and open minds opens the door of opportunity.
Loved doing these shows throughout the beginning of Autumn in 2023!
Throughout 2021 and 2022 I assisted so many murals throughout the Bronx, Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens! Loved working alongside with all the muralists I was fortunate enough to befriend and meet because of these projects. Accumulatively I worked on over 20 murals these last two seasons! It’ll only get higher from here, woohoo!
Joined in on an art show in the midst of the year. Was a very good time!
In 2022 I joined Thrive Collective and partook in a few community painting party events alongside other muralists!
Some more signage art for a company work party. Woohoo!
Within the same year I even did some signage art for the ice cream shop Ample Hills Creamery in Astoria throughout the colder months.

After a long hibernation period due to the coronavirus lock down, shows and exhibits were slowly coming back in 2021. It was much needed for everyone, including myself. I even got to say goodbye to one of my favorite originals to have painted at the time!
